1. Vietnamese Iced Coffee (Cà Phê Sữa Đá)

One of Vietnam’s most iconic drinks, Vietnamese iced coffee combines robust coffee with sweetened condensed milk to create an unforgettable balance of strength and sweetness.

Ingredients

• 25 g Vietnamese ground coffee (Robusta works best)
• 30–40 ml sweetened condensed milk
• 70–90 ml hot water (92–96°C / 198–205°F)
• Ice cubes

Instructions

1. Add the condensed milk to a glass.
2. Place the Vietnamese phin filter on top.
3. Add the ground coffee and gently level it.
4. Place the press on the coffee without pressing too firmly.
5. Pour a small amount of hot water to bloom the coffee for about 30 seconds.
6. Slowly add the remaining hot water.
7. Let the coffee drip completely (about 4–6 minutes).
8. Stir well with the condensed milk.
9. Pour over a glass filled with ice and enjoy.
